A Gamma's Revenge (Zalia)

Chapter 487

Maleah's p.o.V.

I can look back on three successful assignments, but for our next target I have to wait a few days.

Elder Luke is next on our list and at the moment he is traveling on behave of the Elders, he will be gone for at least two more days. When he returns he will have three days off and that will be the perfect time to carry out this part of the assignment.

I am going to take Colter with me and I giggle as I remember the look on Dad's face. He had been so disappointed that I wasn't taking him along, that was until Kay pointed out there were a few more targets to take down.

Elder Luke will have the pleasure of testing a new potion and I see Colter's face go from shock to disgust and back again. Yeah, I found a really nasty one this time and I can't wait to see what it does to our target.

"Maleah, I am going to ask you a question and I want you to understand that this is not an attack or criticism. I just want to understand something." Colter says and I nod me head as I sit down with some coffee.

"Why did you chose Delaney's side, instead of that of your Alphas?" He asks, not the question I was expecting and I guess my face shows it.

"Colter, this might have slipped anyone's mind, but I will explain it with asking you a question. Who can withstand an Alpha order?" I ask.

He is quiet for a moment and I can see that he is really thinking about his answer.

"Another Alpha, his Luna and the Gamma female, maybe an Assassin or two." He answers me.

I still don't think he understands that he just answered his own question and I give

it some more time to see if he can figure it out on his own.

Suddenly he starts laughing and I think he has finally connected the dots.

I am mated to Levi and that means that I am the Gamma female. My main job is to protect our Luna, even from her own Mate if that is necessary. If a Gamma female can't withstand an Alpha order, she won't be able to protect her Luna and for that reason a Gamma female will never succumb to an Alpha order.

"My Alphas were hurting my Luna and my job is to protect her, even from them. It might not have been their intention to hurt her, but they did by treating her the way they did. If Delaney had been in the wrong, I would have pointed it out to her." I say.

"When Dominic tried to explain to her why he wasn't going to wear his complete outfit, I knew he was about to say something that would have caused more harm and that is why I made sure he passed out. I know that Dominic loves his Mate and I needed to protect both of them from doing something stupid." I continue and I see Colter smile at me.

It takes three days for Elder Luke to return home and I walk into the Pack-house to get Colter. I want to leave as soon as possible, this potion will make a mess of things and want to know how long it will

take before Elder Luke Kicke

bucket.

I walk into the main living room and Fortune is rolling down the aisles as I look at Dominic, "Don't say a word." He growls in my direction, but I can see he is trying to stifle a smile.

Delaney is on his lap with a pink blanket wrapped around the both of them and one look at Dax tells me where it came from.

"Colter, it is time." I say and after on more look at my Luna and one of my Alphas, I walk out of the main living room.

"I hope someone took a picture." I say to Dominic through the mind-link and I hear him softly chuckle. Not sure if it is because someone did or that they forgot to take a picture.

Getting into Elder Luke's home is a cinch and I already know that no one else is around. Colter and I lock every door and window on the ground floor, before we head up to Elder Luke's bedroom.

He has his back turned to us and Colter quickly administers the potion, it takes a second or two for Elder Luke to register what happened.

He wipes with a hand over his neck to see blood and then he feels the blood running into his mouth from his nose. He tries to wipe it away, but the blood keeps slowly running down his face and neck and soon it will come from every pore in his body. noveldrama

A hand is stretched out in front of Elder Luke, the blood in his eyes make it impossible for him to see anything and Colter steps aside to let him pass.

We quietly follow him down the hall and we both smile when we see that he is heading for the stairs, blood smeared on the wall where he holds on to it in support.

Both his hands grab the rail as he slowly descended the stairs, leaving a trail of blood in his wake. Colter and I walk on the other side of the steps, making sure not to leave any prints behind.

We watch him for nearly four hours, stumbling around the ground floor of his house. Failing to find an exitz tripping over many obstacles and finally he crashes to the floor in the kitchen. No more strength in his body to keep going.

It takes another hour for him to finally stop breathing, it took him a total of five hours to die from Kigrozanly. Something I need to add to the journal, because this means I need to plan it carefully if I ever want to use it again.

"Let's go home, I have seen enough." I say to Colter, he knows it was a new potion and that this was the first time anyone in my family had ever used it.

"Which ingredient do you need for Kigrozanly?" Colter asks on our drive home.

“Hurgocide in liquid form, cut Akkarier and cut Penicilatta. The recipe is the journal, so if you ever want to know how to prepare it...." I let the sentence trail off, because Colter knows what I mean.
