Tim finally managed to squeeze his way over to where Chloe stood. Without a second thought, he latched onto her leg and shouted, "Mommy, I found you!"

Chloe glanced down, recognizing the same little bundle from yesterday-the one who had vanished from the Golden Moon House. The little guy clung to her leg, tears and snot everywhere. "Mommy, where did you go? Please don't leave Tim behind again, okay?"

People around them noticed the emotional scene-a little boy clutching a woman's leg, crying his eyes out. It was enough to distract them from the fireworks, and they instinctively formed a circle around the pair.

Chloe was still trying to wrap her head around the situation when a tall man suddenly appeared in front of her. His gaze was fixed on Chloe, filled with disbelief and longing.

The little boy used his sleeve to wipe his nose, then, without a second thought, wiped it on Connor's tailored suit pants. "Daddy, I found Mommy!"

That's when it clicked for Chloe-the man was the boy's father. Looking closely, the boy was a miniature version of him, no doubt about it. They were definitely father and son. His worried expression likely came from the fear of losing the boy again.

Chloe was just about to say something when the man stepped forward and pulled her into a tight embrace. Caught off guard, she tilted backward, nearly losing her balance, but he held her firmly. He didn't utter a word, but his body was shaking, and his grip was tight. Chloe felt like she could hardly breathe, as if he wanted to hold her so close she became a part of him.

Getting bear-hugged by a stranger was unexpected and quite inappropriate, yet her first instinct wasn't to push him away. Instead, she just stood there, dumbfounded, as his hold got even tighter.

In that moment, something seemed to flicker through her mind. Chloe felt a surge of familiarity-so strong that her body seemed to remember it. Her hands even started to move on their own, wanting to wrap around the man's back. And his scent-why did it smell so good? Why did it feel so familiar?

And then, there was this urge to cry. It was like a spring bubbling up from deep within her heart, suddenly breaking free and flooding like a vast ocean.

But she quickly came to her senses. "You've got the wrong person," she said, pushing him gently away.

From the little boy calling her "Mommy" twice, along with the man's reaction, Chloe pieced it together. Clearly, they'd mistaken her for someone else. The man didn't seem the type to take advantage of someone.
