Dumping Him for His Uncle (Natasha and Zachary)

Chapter 42

Zachary's voice would be nothing more than a substitute for Jack, but Natasha believed that it was more than enough.

"Don't worry, Mr. Foster's schedule is always packed. No amount of side hustles will be as profitable as being a CEO after all."

Julian boasted from the side, but what he said was also undeniably the truth.

The Foster Group's transactions start from the tens of millions, with all of them being offers from various companies begging to work with them.

It was much better than working a side hustle for a mere few thousand dollars.

"The value of your job isn't solely about the amount of money you make, but I won't deny that money is the only thing that matters to a lot of people."

Zachary's choice of words was as impeccable as ever, and it was also one of the longest sentences Natasha had ever heard him say.

"You're right, Mr. Foster. Anyway, you should go ahead and do what you need to do."

All of the guests walking around the birthday banquet were essentially walking ATMS.

Natasha believed that if Zachary had the time to chat with her, he probably could have used the time to close several more deals with the guests.

Zachary turned slightly to Julian and asked, "Julian, the company's been hiring recently, isn't it?"

Julian caught onto the hint immediately and replied, "Yes, sir. We've been hiring for a lifestyle assistant."

He racked his brain to come up with a job position that could help close the distance between them.

Natasha just frowned after hearing about the open position of "lifestyle assistant". "Why would you need to hire a lifestyle assistant? Is someone from your company having trouble taking care of their own life?"

Zachary's expression sank as he turned to glare at Julian with a warning look.

Julian was in agony. He desperately hoped for someone to appear and teach him how to teach his boss to chase after a girl.

"There are plenty of other positions too. We can always talk about it if Ms. Bradley is interested."

Natasha considered the possibility for a while. She had no reason to turn it down. She and Julian exchanged contact info, which annoyed Zachary a little.

It had taken Zachary quite the effort to come up with an excuse to ask for her contact info back then, and yet Julian had just done so effortlessly.

Natasha then said, "I've still got something to do, so I'll be leaving now."

With that, she got into a cab and left. She had drunk some alcohol and was starting to feel a little sleepy.noveldrama

Zachary did not take his eyes off the car until it was completely out of sight.

Julian stood beside him and grinned. "Who would've thought that Ms. Bradley actually plays pool? I certainly didn't expect it."

Zachary was confused. He wondered how he did not know anything about that. "Pool?"

Julian handed Zachary his phone and replied, "Here, take a look at her profile. She's living quite the active lifestyle, no?"

Zachary then pulled out his own phone for a comparison, only to find nothing but a single horizontal line on his own screen.

Julian immediately realized that he had made a grave mistake. "Mr. Foster, is it too late for me to unfriend Ms. Bradley now?"

He took a deep breath and only exhaled after 30 seconds had passed.

"Too late," Zachary replied.

Meanwhile, Natasha could not stop sneezing in the cab. She began to wonder if she had gotten sick.

After getting home, she took some cold medicine and headed straight to bed.

At night, the wind rustled the fallen leaves and made them dance across the darkened streets, resembling two silhouettes dancing together.

Countless messages came into Natasha's phone throughout the night. When she

woke up, she was so thirsty that she felt like her throat was on fire.

She gulped down a glass of warm water and instantly felt much better.

Natasha then opened her phone to find 15 missed calls and over 80 unseen messages. "No way! Am I wanted for a crime or something?"
