Chapter 1572
Fiona really didn't want to put Keaton in a tough spot, but she wasn't the type to let things slide without settling the score.
"Now that everything's out in the open, don't you think it's time we address my issue?" Fiona's voice hung in the air, capturing everyone's attention.noveldrama
The crowd was bewildered-what else could Fiona possibly want to address?
Within seconds, Patricia's expression shifted to one of fear. She took a step back, avoiding Fiona's gaze like it held some kind of power.
Keaton stepped forward, trying to calm Fiona down. Even if there was a problem, it could wait until they were back at school to sort it out.
"You accused me of murder, yet here I stand, not a murderer. So, how are we going to settle this?" Fiona's smile was edged with a hint of frost.
Nobody spoke up to clarify. Fiona had seen this coming, her voice steady, her eyes gleaming like clear-cut gems.
"What do you want?" one of the women finally asked.
"I want an apology," Fiona said softly, a calm smile touching her lips. "From every single one of you."
Faces around her turned as white as sheets. No one expected Fiona to have such nerve.
And could she even handle apologies from all of them?
“Hmph, this girl just doesn't know when to quit. So what if we were wrong about you?"
"Yeah, who do you think you are, demanding apologies? What a joke."
"I'm not apologizing. What are you gonna do about it?"
"Ha! This is too funny. A high school kid thinking she can make us parents apologize. What nerve! What's she gonna do in the real world?"
Despite the taunts, Fiona's face showed no hint of amusement, only a cool detachment in her eyes.
She didn't glance at anyone, just turned slightly to see Nash, still leaning against a big oak tree, yawning now and then.
Patricia felt safe, knowing no one would support Fiona. What was there to fear?
Besides, if these folks wanted to ruin Fiona, Patricia wouldn't even need to lift a finger.
"Is this what they mean by 'every villain has their match'?" Fiona sneered, her words like ice. "Don't blame me for not giving you a chance. If you don't apologize ten minutes, who knows what might happen?"
"You little brat, you think you can threaten us? The woman who first scoffed at Fiona stepped up,
pointing a finger right in her facenet
yelling, "Who do you think you are? So what if we talked bad about you? You're just some country kid. Lucky to even be in school here or I could have you booted out in no time.”
"Yeah, trying to get with the Woods family heir? You've got to be kidding."
"Ridiculous. Does she really think she's something special? Please."
While most jeered, a few folks hesitantly approached Fiona, kids in
tow, to apologize. They weren't
thrilled about it, but at least they tried.
"Time's up," Fiona said.
She quickly turned back to Nash, asking, “So, what's the status?”
What do you think?
