Chapter 1694
She couldn't wrap her head around it-how Kimberly, after all she'd been through, managed to keep that necklace in such pristine condition.
"Take me to those people," Fiona said, her voice calm and steady. Her delicate features were a storm of anger, her eyes dark and intense, like a demon straight out of hell, brimming with menace.
They made their way to a basement, dim and damp. As the door creaked open, a nauseating stench hit them, so overpowering that even Fiona had to cover her nose. It was the perfect hideout for vermin and decay.
Yara gestured towards the corner where three people crouched, their faces gaunt and pale, bodies so thin and frail it was painful to see. Even in such dire straits, they hadn't given up tormenting Kimberly. It seemed the saying held true: those who are pitiable often have something despicable about them.
"Fiona, sweetheart, they're all yours. Do whatever you feel like. The tools are right over there," Yara said with a mischievous grin, giving Fiona's cheek a playful tweak. Fiona was stunning, no doubt about it.
"Thanks."
In no time, Fiona was alone in the basement. She picked up a metal rod, testing its weight in her hand. It might not leave visible marks, but it would make them regret their actions, especially since she knew exactly where to strike.
"Stay back, stay back!" one of the men shouted, his voice barely hiding his fear. Every fiber of his being was screaming at the sight of this fierce young woman with her terrifying aura.
"I'm begging you, let me go. I swear I'll never do it again. I'll never come back here, I promise."
Fiona's face was a mask as she listened to their pleas, wondering if Kimberly, now lying in bed, barely clinging to life, had begged just like this. And these people, had they shown her any mercy?
If Yara hadn't arrived in time, would Kimberly's dignity have remained intact?
The thought made her shudder with disgust at these people. Forgiveness? Not a chance.noveldrama
It was time for a taste of their own medicine.
Fiona approached them, metal rod in hand, her steps slow and deliberate. Soon, the only sound in the basement was the harsh breathing of fear.
The first scream broke the silence like a clap of thunder, followed by a chorus of wails. Even Yara's crew outside flinched at the sound.
They'd all seen Fiona before-a pretty young woman who turned into a force of nature when she fought.
They couldn't help but gasp.
What Fiona did was something not even a group of strong men could achieve. Even ten of them wouldn't have been able to cause such destruction.
The cries went on for five solid minutes before Fiona dropped the rod, her face shadowed as she walked out.
Once she left, the basement was deathly silent, not even a whisper of breath. After she was gone, a few brave souls took a peek through the door, only to recoil in shock, Some even vomiting.
The three who had been locked in there were hardly recognizable as human anymore-just heaps of battered flesh without a single unscathed spot.
As they watched Fiona walk into the distance, those left behind couldn't shiver. Such a beautiful young woman, yet capable of such unflinching ferocity.
