Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1700

Daydreaming, huh? Fiona's lips curled into a sly smile. Her face was a perfect mask, giving nothing away.

"Got it. So, there's nothing else to discuss. You can head out now. No need to bring dinner tonight. It's been a long day, and we've got a tough game ahead tomorrow. Let's all get some good rest."

"Alright."

Once Amu was gone, Fiona dropped the act and secured the gear at her waist. Every faction is at its weakest during shift changes. Fiona, all geared up, had slender needles tucked into her wristbands. With everything set, she slipped out of Zone F and made her way to Zone G.

It's not that she didn't want her crew involved. It's just that everyone had their own roles and situations. Fiona felt a deep responsibility to shield them from the chaos her actions might unleash.

After she left, Amu and two others stepped out from the shadows, sharing a knowing sigh and exchanging looks.

"This girl, always the same. She insists on tackling everything solo, never wanting us to tag along," C remarked with a resigned sigh, giving Amu's shoulder a reassuring pat. "We all know how she is. It's not just her call to drag us into this mess. I just didn't see it coming that Zone F was under her sway. If we'd known, our two groups wouldn't have gone head-to-head over that business deal."

"Alright, enough chatter. My team's ready," Amu replied.

The trio got set to hit Zone G. They could take on Zone G head-on, but without a solid reason, it called for a united front.

...

Fiona moved like a shadow,

reaching Zone G solo. A few guards were pacing the entrance, and the towering walls were draped with live wires. One wrong move and you could be out cold-or worse.

With practiced ease, Fiona's silver needles took down the patrol. She snagged their keys and slipped inside. It was the perfect

timing shift change. The next crew hadn't arrived yet, leaving the place wide open.

Fiona was a step ahead; she'd planted signal jammers around Zone F before arriving. With these in place, the cameras were blind.

Plus, she had her own jammer on her, making it even harder for anyone to spot her.

Zone F was buzzing with activity, bright lights on and people at work. Fiona's sharp hearing picked up phone chatter and machinery

humming away. In this undervel

of money and deceit, escape was a rare luxury.

Fiona dodged both human and electronic surveillance. She took down several

guards, only to find the supposed Zone F leader's office empty.

It was a setup!

The realization hit her, yet her eyes showed no fear. Instead, they sparkled brighter, like stars piercing the night sky.noveldrama
