Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1740

Amy: !!!

So, he was here to snag the flowers after all.

"No way!" Amy shot back, hugging the bouquet Fiona had given her like a protective mama bear.

"Why?" The guy asked, clearly baffled.

He was miffed that Amy handed out flowers to so many others but not to him. What made him any different?

"Because they're mine," she retorted, rolling her eyes and turning to leave. She had zero interest in getting caught up with someone like him. It was her call to give flowers to whoever she pleased. Seriously, did she need permission to handle her own stuff?

"Step aside!" Amy glowered at him, linked arms with Fiona, and turned to walk away, only to bump right into Jane.

"Who's not watching where they're going?" Amy grumbled, her mood already sour and now even more irritable.

"Amy, what's gotten into you?" Jane asked, bewildered after being snapped at the moment she arrived.

"Just zip it!" Amy shot her a glare and stormed off.

"Wait up!" Jane grabbed her arm, glanced at Fiona, and said with a sly grin, "Didn't you sign up for the performance, Fiona? Aren't you planning to get on stage? This is about your credits, you know."

Fiona looked at her like she was clueless, chuckling, "Do you really think I'm worried about a few credits?"

"What?" Jane was taken aback. She thought that with Fiona's name on the list, she'd have no choice but to perform, even if it meant making a fool of herself.

At Center College, everyone was hustling for even a sliver of a credit, but Fiona acted like they were nothing. What kind of person was she?

"Don't you get how crucial credits are at Center College?" Jane insisted, not ready to back down.

But Fiona couldn't care less.

Credits? If she felt like it, she could whip up a paper in her sleep and rack up

credits. She lacked nothing. What a joke!

"Fiona!" Jane gritted her teeth,

glaring daggers at Fiona's retreating back, her eyes sharp as knives

"What's your deal with the Hastings "

After a pause, Fiona smirked, "Why does it matter to you?" Jane felt like she'd swallowed a fly, her frustration bubbling over.

Her confidence wavered, and she found herselt a bit intimidated by Fiona. The Hastings family was not someone even the Larkin family dared to cross. The only family that could stand toe-to-toe with the Hastings was the Woods family, and she'd seen someone from the Woods clan with Fiona's crew at the restaurant.

Even backstage just now, she spotted someone familiar.

Nash, from the Woods branch in the Capital.

Though raised in the States, she had some grasp of the tangled web that

was the Woods family's

connections. This realization filled

her with unease.

And Fiona's audacity-if she wasn't banking on her link to the Hastings family,

how else could she be so bold?

But even a Hastings wouldn't claim not to care about credits!

Fiona was turning out to be more fascinating by the day.

To truly get a handle on who Fiona was, she'd need a good chat with Lizzy.noveldrama
