Love on the Fast Track

Chapter 1420

Chapter 1420:

Producing the antidote would be simple for Norah—she only needed the raw materials. With Ciulla in hand, she could create the medicine within half a day.

The attending doctor was delighted as he read through the information.

“Dr. Wilson, thank you! I’ll report this immediately and arrange for a team to locate the plant.”

To Norah’s surprise, Kason himself led the search team. With a small group, he boarded a helicopter and left to retrieve Ciulla.

Meanwhile, Norah focused on stabilizing the Commander’s health.

The blood loss had already drained his vitality. Even with the poison removed, his body would require careful nursing to regain strength. Norah detailed a comprehensive treatment plan, and the attending doctor followed her instructions without hesitation.

Three days later, the helicopter returned, landing on the military base’s helipad late at night.

Norah had only been able to provide approximate coordinates. The team had to navigate unfamiliar terrain, avoid local inhabitants, and locate Ciulla—all while enduring physical and mental exhaustion. When they handed over the materials, the tension in their faces melted into relief.

Norah carefully examined the Ciulla plant and nodded.

“This is it. You’ve done well. Get some rest; I’ll handle the rest from here.”

Norah didn’t waste a moment. As soon as the raw materials arrived, she sent them to the lab and began extracting the antidote. After several meticulous trials, the antidote was finally ready. She handed the medicine to the attending doctor, giving clear instructions.

“Three pills a day, along with the other treatments mentioned.”

Dark circles shadowed her tired eyes, and her voice sounded drained.

“I need to rest now.”

“Of course, Dr. Wilson. Please rest,” the doctor replied, wasting no time as he rushed to administer the antidote to the Commander.

Every second counted, and he knew the quicker they acted, the better the outcome.

When Norah woke up hours later, Xenia greeted her with uplifting news.

“Dr. Wilson, the Commander’s condition has improved significantly after taking your antidote. It’s incredible how well it’s working!”

Norah responded with a faint smile, saying nothing. For her, it was just another task accomplished as a doctor. Her only focus had been creating the antidote; everything else was beyond her concern.

Xenia added, “By the way, Captain Dawson is awake and wants to thank you in person.”

“There’s no need. It’s all part of my job. When can I leave?” Norah asked calmly.

The rough part was behind her. Now, she was eager to step aside.

“Well, it’ll take another four days of observation for the Commander before you can go. Please be patient.”

Norah nodded, letting the matter drop. She wasn’t interested in receiving personal gratitude from patients or getting involved in anything outside her responsibilities.

Meanwhile, after reading Xenia’s message, Allanson set down his phone in the ward. He sighed lightly and turned to the man standing by his bed.

“It’s been a while since we’ve last met, hasn’t it?”noveldrama
