Love on the Fast Track

Chapter 1423

Chapter 1423:

She calculated the days and saw that it was exactly then!noveldrama

“We planned to start a family after the wedding. Who could have thought that our little surprise would come so soon?” she said, her voice tinged with regret and surprise.

She had always looked forward to motherhood and caring for a child, but now her immediate plans were thrown off course.

“Haha, honey, it seems the baby couldn’t wait to meet us. Let’s go ahead with a grand event so you can have your dream wedding. Then you can relax at home and look after our baby,” Sean suggested with a silly look on his face. “Planning the wedding for after the baby’s arrival also sounds perfect. We’ll ensure it’s a beautiful celebration.”

Norah let go of his face and rested against him. “Now that we’re here, there’s no turning back. We can’t just not have our baby, right? I couldn’t bear the thought.”

Given her past of constant instability, Norah was determined that her child would grow up in a nurturing and stable home.

“We should consider moving the wedding earlier. It’ll be tough to fit into a wedding dress with a growing bump,” Norah said, looking up to meet Sean’s warm gaze.

“Honey, it still feels surreal. Is this really happening?”

Before he could speak further, Norah pinched his cheek. “Do you believe it now?”

“I do, I do. I’ll start planning everything immediately,” Sean assured her.

Actually, following his successful proposal, Sean had ordered a ring from an artisan abroad, which was expected to arrive shortly. He had also pre-ordered the wedding dress. It was still being made, and he hoped it would be finished in time for the wedding.

They decided to keep the pregnancy to themselves and only shared with their families their need to move up the wedding date. It was now set for six months earlier than planned.

Quickly, they took their wedding photos, and the logistical arrangements for the venue and ceremony were overseen by relatives from both sides. All Norah had to do was pick out her preferred style.

Within just two months, all preparations were complete, and the wedding invitations were sent out. Norah was careful with her diet, managing to keep her pregnancy subtly visible. On the day of the wedding, the morning began early.

“Norah, wake up,” Joanna urged as the 5 a.m. alarm echoed. Her voice was groggy with sleep as the words tumbled out.

The previous night, the bridesmaids had stayed at the villa to make sure they woke up fresh for the big day.

Alice rubbed her eyes and immediately woke up too.

She sighed, “Norah is pregnant; does she really have to be awake so early? Sean mentioned yesterday that she could sleep in a little more.” However, sleeping in merely allowed for an extra hour of sleep. They needed to start early to manage makeup, outfit changes, and the commute to the hotel. The morning promised no rest, as it was packed with a lot of activities.

Norah rolled over, awake but wishing to stay in bed just a little longer.

After three months of pregnancy, Norah finally shared the happy news with her friends, spreading joy all around.

The wedding rehearsal had helped Norah calm her anxiety. Still, the thought of walking down the aisle with the love of her life, surrounded by warm wishes and blessings, made her smile.
