Was Selena still banking on Everett to remember their history and give her an easy pass?

Everett hadn't shown up yet, so Selena leaned over to Holt and whispered, "Did you let Alex know?"

Even though Everett was no longer CEO, he still held the most shares, so she'd made sure Holt invited him.

Whether Everett decided to show was really up to his mood. After all, Selena's position wasn't exactly earned through the most straightforward means.

Selena waited another ten minutes, then sighed. "Alright, let's not wait for Mr. Everett any longer. Let's get started."

The conference room doors flew open, and Everett walked in, dressed in a sharp black suit, his hair slicked back. Alex and Bradley were right behind him.
