No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric)

Chapter 594

Emma was still holding Noelle's hand as she spoke excitedly. "Oh, Noelle, go wash your face and change your clothes. I'll take you shopping! I heard some new collections just dropped-perfect for young women like you."

Her enthusiasm was impossible to hide. She was eager to experience what it was like to dress up a daughter.

After all, when she used to dress up Magnus as a child, one moment, he would be an adorable little girl, and the next, he would be rolling in the mud like a wild rascal. It had never given her the satisfaction she craved.

Noelle hesitated for a moment, trying to come up with an excuse to decline. On the side, Cedric glanced at the time and said, "She needs to head back to school. The dorms have a curfew."

"Oh, right, I forgot about that. Then we'll go another time," Emma said, visibly disappointed.

Noelle could only nod. Ever since she heard Emma clarify that Cedric and Laura were never engaged, her mind had been in turmoil.

The main reason she had been so upset with Cedric and broken up with him was because of Laura. But now she found out Laura had been lying.

At that moment, Cedric took Noelle's wrist and said, "I'll take her back."

Emma quickly added, "Make sure she takes all the things I bought for her."

"I'll get her what she needs," Cedric replied firmly.

Noelle did not even get a chance to respond before Cedric led her away. Once they left the private room, Noelle suddenly stopped, looking uneasy. "I haven't changed my clothes yet."

"I'll have Tilly bring them to you," Cedric said, not wanting her to stay with Emma any longer, worried she might let something slip.

However, Noelle blushed, hunched over slightly, and whispered, "I'm not wearing a bra."

She was in loose spa attire and

could not possibly walk out like that. Cedric's gaze fell on her, and without hesitation, he took off his jacket and draped it over her shoulders. Then, he turned to one of the staff nearby and said, "Get her a room to change in."

Noelle still had the seaweed facial mask on her face, so she definitely could not leave like that. Soon, Tilly arrived and escorted Noelle to another room.

After washing her face and changing into her clothes, Noelle finally relaxed. She looked at Tilly and asked, "Did he arrange for you to be here?"

She had initially thought the PR team from TG Public Relations had been assigned to her because of Alfred's influence. But now it seemed like it was all Cedric's doing.

Tilly looked slightly awkward. "Ms. Liddell, Mr. Greene cares deeply about you. This isn't about keeping tabs on you."

She could tell Cedric's concern for Noelle was far from casual. However, Noelle did not respond. When she stepped out of the room, she saw Cedric standing outside, his back turned to her.

He was speaking in a low voice, his expression serious and

commanding, exuding an air of authority she had never seen before. When she appeared, Cedric turned to look at her, his expression softening. He quickly wrapped up his conversation and walked over to her.

As Cedric approached, Noelle felt a sudden wave of uncertainty. He reached out

to take her hand, but she pulled away. She knew the Cedric she had just seen was his true self.noveldrama

The evasion created an awkward

tension between them, and Cedric's hand hung in the air for a moment before he let it drop. A faint smile tugged at his lips as he said, Don't take what my mom said to heart."

Noelle looked up at him and teased, "Mrs. Greene offered to make me her goddaughter and even promised me a share of her wealth. That might be worth considering."

She could tell Emma had not meant to insult her with money.

Cedric's face darkened instantly. "No way. I don't need another sister." What he needed was a wife.
