Chapter 842
Nadine couldn't break free from Brad's iron grip, so she had no choice but to
agree. "Fine. I promise you. Could you please let go of me now?" To make him lower his guard, she softened her tone, making it sound just like how she used to talk to him when they were still married.
For a moment, Brad's heart, which had been wounded, mysteriously healed. The wound disappeared, and the pain with it. Nadine's simple, seemingly insignificant words had wiped away all his displeasure.
Brad smiled like a fool as he embraced her, his gaze full of affection. "Okay." With that, he let go of Nadine.
As soon as the warmth in his arms slipped away, he felt a sudden emptiness. He stood frozen, gently rubbing his fingertips, still relishing the warmth he had just felt.
It had been ages since he last held Nadine. For a while now, he had felt as if there was a gaping hole in his chest, but when he held Nadine just now, it was as if that gap was miraculously filled.
It was a strange, inexplicable sense of fulfillment. He couldn't quite name the feeling, but it felt more fulfilling than anything he'd experienced before-even more than making love to her.noveldrama
Nadine had no idea what was going on in Brad's head. As soon as she left his embrace, she hurriedly picked Sean up and got into Sebastian's car. She didn't even bother to say goodbye to Brad as she told the driver to step on the gas immediately.
The car sped off, its tires squealing as it disappeared down the street. By the time Brad came to his senses, Sebastian's car was long gone. Realizing he'd been duped, he kicked the side of his SUV in frustration.
He got back into his car and ordered his driver to follow them. Unfortunately, when
he reached the end of the street, there was no sign of Sebastian's yellow Lamborghini.

Meanwhile, Cameron sat across from Tyler's mother, Julia, at Clip Coffee in Janctera City.
He handed her a document and explained, "Mrs. Sullivan, these are the conditions Mr. Hamilton has offered. Please have a look."
Julia took the document and read it carefully. "So, if I agree to your terms and follow through, you'll spare my son and our family? And you'll also return my favorite mansion?"
Tyler's pursuit of Nadine had
infuriated Brad. In his rage, he had driven the Sullivan family to bankruptcy. He'd also forced them to sell off several of their properties, including the mansion Julia loved most. To this day, she still couldn't get over it.
After reading the terms on the document, she set it down and gracefully picked up her coffee cup before looking at Cameron again. "Mr. Gomez, forgive me for saying so, but this offer seems far too generous. I can't imagine what I could possibly do to be of any help to you."
Even though the Sullivans still had Adam's support, they were nowhere near what
they once were. Compared to their former glory, they were barely scraping by.
Cameron adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses, his gaze landing on the paper in front of Julia. A faint smile tugged at his lips.
"Relax, Mrs. Sullivan. It's nothing
major. I just want to ask you about something that happened years ago. Of course, you can't claim to not know anything. You were there that day, after all."
What do you think?
