“Shirley, can you feel me?” Robin knelt down, holding Shirley’s tear–streaked face with tenderness in his eyes, his expression full of sorrow.

“It’s all my fault,” he whispered, his voice heavy with guilt. “I’ve caused you so much pain, over and over again.

“I’ve never given you anything but hardship–no happiness, only disaster and endless worry.

“Once I find your soul, I’ll take you away from all of this, far from the turmoil.

“We’ll live in peace, watching horses run freely in the southern hills, lying beneath the stars, drunk on the night, listening to the river flowing endlessly.”

Plop! Another tear fell onto Robin’s arm.

In that moment, Robin felt Shirley’s heartbeat, fast and joyful, pulsing through her chest.

“Shirley, wait for me,” he murmured, lifting her face gently to plant a soft kiss on her forehead. “Once I deal with those two monsters, I’ll bring you home!”

Suddenly, Robin felt Shirley’s hand grip his, her fingers tightening.

He knew instinctively that the kind–hearted Shirley didn’t want him to harm Lord Southmere’s grandchildren.

With great care, he pried her hand away, his fingers brushing through her cold, silver hair.

“Shirley, I can’t let anyone who has hurt you go unpunished.

“I won’t show mercy to those who provoke me, these scoundrels!

“If I spare them now, they’ll only become more dangerous.

“I’m the Divine Drakebane. If I stop punishing the wicked, my family will be doomed.

“I need to show them with hard facts, hurt my family, and you will be wiped out!”

Robin lowered Shirley’s hand and passed it to the four Veilthorn guards.

“Misael, bring me the saber!” Robin commanded, pointing toward the large saber on display at the plaza’s edge. Its immense size–three feet long, half a foot wide, and one inch thick–demanded attention.

Misael swiftly retrieved the weapon with both hands and brought it to Robin.

Under the dim sun, the saber gleamed coldly, emanating a deadly aura.

Robin took it with one hand, resting it on his shoulder, and walked toward Ethan.

The plaza fell into a suffocating silence.

Ethan and Kimberly stood frozen, their faces pale with fear.

They couldn’t believe their actions had led them to this terrifying moment, standing on the edge of death.

Robin didn’t move to strike. He stood motionless, the massive saber resting on his shoulder, silently awaiting any intervention from Lord Southmere.

Ryder, understanding Robin’s silent request, sighed deeply. “Kimberly, Ethan, you’ve made a terrible mistake. I can’t save you.

“There’s nothing left to say.

“You’ve crossed a line, so don’t beg for mercy. Die with dignity.”

“No! I don’t want to die!” Kimberly shrieked in horror.

“Grandpa, Grandpa, you said I was your favorite! How can you let Robin kill me?

“Earlier, when I yelled at you, it was because you didn’t give Ethan and me the Southmere Token.

“We don’t even want it anymore! Grandpa, please save me! I know you love me the most!

“Grandpa, you have to save me!

“You have the pardon token, right? Please use it to save me!

“It was all Ethan’s idea! It wasn’t my fault … ”

A gigantic flying ship, the size of a mountain, emerged from the stormy clouds, its massive form slowly becoming visible.

Robin froze in surprise.

What’s happening?

Lord Southmere’s face tightened. “Master Ramsey, is this the Steliaris starship?”

The diplomats and high–ranking officials who had been watching turned their eyes toward the massive vessel.

Could this be … an alien weapon?

Why are they here?

Could Steliaris be coming for revenge?

It seems likely… very likely.

The crowd panicked, scrambling backward as the sky grew darker, casting an ominous shadow over the entire estate.

“Mr. Drakebane.”

A voice echoed across the air, coming from the massive ship above.

“We are the Steliaris starship. Return the chip lost 20 years ago, or I will turn the entire Earth to ash!”
