Chapter 1651
This agreement came back into play once Miss Mira returned.
Mr. Austin Emmitt had his own business, which was doing quite well. However, managing the expansive Davis family empire was beyond his capabilities. Zach, the second son, pursued law and had no intention of leaning on the family for support. Expecting him to carry on the family legacy was out of the question.
Nick was being groomed as the heir, but he and Keir both knew that he wasn't interested in taking on the role. Meanwhile, Leo was fully engrossed in chasing his dreams in the entertainment industry. Asking him to take over the Davis family would be as futile as donating the whole estate to charity.
That left only Miss Mira. She was sharp and had a knack for surprising others with her hidden talents. Her personality meshed perfectly with those who had lived life on the edge. If it hadn't been for the events of the past couple of years, they might have all been fooled by her sweet demeanor.noveldrama
Grady sighed to himself and quickly refocused on Mirabella. "Your parents might have wanted to keep this agreement under wraps, but I think you ought to know," Grady paused. "They promised Chester that their last child would be adopted by him."
Hearing this, Mirabella, though she had her suspicions, was still taken aback when it was confirmed. No wonder Shawn and Delilah were always cautious around Grady.
Then something clicked for Mirabella. "So, calling me Miss Mira has something to do with this?" she asked. Being the fifth in line, 'little miss' would have made more sense, but 'Miss Mira' seemed a bit out of place.
Grady cleared his throat and nodded, "Yeah, that's the reason."
Mirabella blinked, momentarily at a loss for words. She never thought she'd become someone who could inherit a billion-dollar estate without

Those words touched Mirabella. Inheritance wasn't the issue; the real deal was that she, Mirabella, was a wealthy woman.
After a moment, she pulled herself together. "You're right, Uncle. Whether I'm adopted or not doesn't really matter. We're all family, blood ties and all."
Grady nodded, not surprised by her response. If she'd been adopted and raised by them from an early age, they wouldn't have to overthink
things. But now that Miss M.net"
an adult with her own mind, there was no need to stress over the adoption matter. Blood ties are unbreakable.
An hour later, the plane touched down at the Davis family's private terminal. As Mirabella stepped off, she saw about a dozen armored SUVs lined up on the runway, each with someone in black standing by. The whole scene was oozing with authority and power, looking quite grand.
Mirabella raised an eyebrow, thinking even a presidential motorcade.might not be this
extravagant. Walking beside her net Grady noticed her expression. She
showed neither fear nor awe treating the attendants as if they were just regular folks. This composure was exactly what one would expect from a true heir.
