The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage

Chapter 2574

The abandoned apartment had been destroyed by Frank earlier, so what was this pillar Gashface was tied to?

There could only be one reason there was a pillar, too—Frank must have used his scary powers to fix it!

But... How was that possible?

Nonetheless, the cabal was just as shocked-they were strong, but not powerful enough to rebuild an entire building with just a wave of his hand!

Jada smiled. "How about that, ma'am? Are you still going to bet against my master?"

Marika snapped coolly, "That's still no reason to hurt my senior! I'll avenge him even if it kills me!"

Frank smiled, nodding. "Then why don't you ask the proprietors over there what actually happened? If you still insist on siding with your senior despite all the solid evidence, then I guess I just have to hit a woman."

Frank was astute when it came to judging people, and he knew that Marika was a reasonable person.

Instead of attacking, he turned toward the proprietors, who explained, "We won't lie to you, ma'am. We asked to meet the developer about the future of this abandoned apartment project, and he sent us here. But he never showed up, while we ran into that strange burning skull.

"We got too close and were struck by some sort of enchantment that forced us to kowtow repeatedly. We were lucky that the young man came when he did, or we'd be dead."

Marika frowned-the details made sense, and was it possible that her senior was really up to something so sinister?

Seeing that Marika was hesitant, Jada promptly pressed their advantage.

Striding up to Gashface, she slapped the man across the face and snapped coolly, "Tell her what you and your mercenary were up to!"

Gashface simply kept his head down in silence.

How could he admit to it?! If he confessed, he would be dead!

In fact, Marika was his only hope of distorting the truth!

"Don't believe her, ma'am!" Gashface cried. "She's lying! I've done nothing-it's that brat who destroyed the apartment, and your senior was just trying to enforce justice!"

"I'm lying?"

Jada rolled her eyes and slapped Gashface across the face.

"See? She's forcing a confession under duress!" Gashface exclaimed.

He was certainly smart, sowing the seeds of doubt in Marika's mind in case he broke.

Even if he did confess, he could simply renege later so that Marika would still be convinced that Jada was lying.

And he certainly succeeded in

Frank glared at Gashface and then back at Marika, growling, "So you're not going

to believe the proprietors?"

Marika shrugged. "How am I supposed to believe them?"

Frank nodded in exasperation. "Guess we'll just have to fight this out."

"Indeed!"

Marika conjured a skull over a palm and threw it at Frank.

It suddenly enlarged a thousand times, its jaw wide open as it streaked toward Frank, ready to devour him.

"Cute trick!"

Frank spat and raised his hand, shrinking the skull back to normal human size. Then, before Marika could react, he was suddenly right in front of her!

"W-Who are you?!" Marika

exclaimed, sweating down her cheek from Frank's menacing presence, aware that she had shot herself in the foot. noveldrama

However, she stood her ground, fearless despite the threat of death!

Nevertheless, Frank shook his head. "Who I am doesn't matter. What matters is that I could kill any of you instantly but didn't. If that's stiff not enough proof, I guess we just have to do this the hard way."

Marika pondered just then.

Frank was right—with his strength, why did he have to pull such an elaborate ploy?

Moreover, Gashface was clearly no angel. Did that mean she had really been deceived?
