Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1565

The actress was all over that idea, waving her hand dismissively with a smug grin. "No worries, Fiona's gonna find herself in a bit of a pickle soon enough."

With Christina stepping into the scene, there was no way Fiona could keep up her carefree lifestyle. Christina was known far and wide in the industry for her fiery temper. While outsiders might not get it, she knew all too well.

Christina's attachment to Allen was no secret. Now that things had blown up because of Fiona, given Christina's vengeful streak, it was unlikely she'd let it slide easily.

"Why's that? Care to spill the beans? I'm dying to know and can't wait to see Fiona's downfall."

"That's top secret for now. Can't let it slip." The actress knew better than to bring up Christina's name.

These things never turned out well, and if they backfired, trouble was sure to follow. Woods Corporation's PR team wasn't just for show, either.

Inside a cozy private dining room, Fiona and her friends were enjoying a laid-back lunch. Meanwhile, Allen broke the silence.

"Mr. Jackson, the new agent you got for me is all set up. But what about Christina? Are you thinking of letting her go?"noveldrama

After peeling a shrimp and placing it in Fiona's bowl, Jackson wiped his hands and slowly looked up.

His sharp eyes locked onto Allen's, seemingly reading him like an open book, sending a slight shiver down Allen's spine.

"Keep her around for what, a holiday dinner?"

That question left Allen momentarily speechless.

Wasn't Mr. Jackson supposed to be all aloof and mysterious?

Why did he suddenly have this playful vibe?

"I'm worried she might cause trouble for Ms. Fiona," Allen said.

"I'm good. She doesn't worry me," Fiona said with a smile, swallowing the shrimp. "Free lunch, and you guys aren't digging in?"

Jackson chuckled, clearly entertained by Fiona's quirky take on things.

"Have some more."

After lunch, they stepped out of the restaurant, and Fiona spotted a small grocery store. She wandered in and grabbed a few bags of chips from the snack aisle. At the checkout, she noticed they were selling hot coffee and decided to grab a cup.

She'd seen Jackson rubbing his temples earlier, guessing he might be stressed or nursing a headache.

His complexion wasn't great, and a hot coffee might just do the trick.

As soon as Fiona stepped out, she saw Jackson waiting by the store entrance. He had an impressive build, all tall and commanding, with an air of confidence.

Hearing the noise, Jackson glanced over and saw Fiona approaching with a cup of hot coffee.

"Here, have some hot coffee," Fiona handed the cup to Jackson.

"You got this for me?" Jackson raised an eyebrow, a curious smile tugging at his lips as he accepted the coffee. "Being so nice to me, what are you after?"

"You peeled shrimp for me; consider this a little thank you," Fiona said, sticking her tongue out playfully. "I know it's not gourmet coffee, but give it a shot."

"If it's from you, I'm all for it," Jackson said, unfazed, taking a big sip. "Maybe ease up on the sugar next time. It's a bit on the sweet side."
