Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1566

Meanwhile, the actress stormed out of the restaurant, fuming when she realized Fiona and her friends had vanished into thin air.noveldrama

"Where did the people from that private room go?" she barked at the waiter, her eyes practically sparking with fury. "Didn't I just tell you to keep an eye on them? How could you let them slip away without a clue?"

"I'm really sorry," the waiter apologized, looking a bit flustered. "The restaurant got busy, and they must have left during the chaos. But this town isn't exactly sprawling; they probably haven't gone far."

Still seething, the actress stomped her foot in frustration and gave the waiter a sharp slap before marching out.

As soon as she stepped outside, she and her friends spotted Fiona and her group not too far off. They were hanging around outside a small deli, with Fiona chatting and laughing with Jackson.

"Look over there!" one of the girls pointed out, a hint of disdain in her voice. "Fiona is so shameless, clinging to Jackson like that."

Hearing this, the actress followed her friend's gaze, her eyes narrowing with irritation.

Who would have thought Fiona, just a high school kid, would have the nerve to openly flirt with Jackson? Absolutely brazen!

It was maddening!

That Fiona had the audacity to flaunt herself so brazenly in front of her was infuriating. No wonder Christina, who was so arrogant and overbearing, had been knocked off her high horse.

"Honestly, I don't think Fiona is all that," one of the girls commented.

"I agree. Maybe Jackson is into her because she's bold. We're too reserved; otherwise, with our looks, we could easily outshine Fiona. Maybe if we were a bit more forward, we'd be the ones hanging out with Jackson next time," another chimed in.

"You're right. The way Fiona bought Jackson coffee, she must have made the first move. Otherwise, why would he be so indulgent towards a high school girl?" The actress bit her lip, a spark of determination flashing in her eyes. As much as it stung her pride, she had to admit her friends had a point.

She had always held herself above them, and it was her connections that had landed her friends roles in the TV series, so naturally, they showered her with compliments.

She was used to their flattery, but out of nowhere came Fiona, indifferent and linked with a big shot like Jackson, and it was a tough pill to swallow.

After all, her current status wasn't something to scoff at.

Landing the role of the second female lead already showed her talent.

Granted, she had secured the role by cozying up to the director, but if she could get in with Jackson, she wouldn't need to do that anymore.

Jackson's charisma and stature were exactly what she dreamed of in a partner.

As the actress indulged in these fantasies, their group gradually closed in on Fiona and her friends. Suddenly, she froze, her steps coming to an abrupt halt.

"What's wrong? Why did you stop?" the girl next to her nudged her with an elbow, puzzled.

"I..." the actress stammered, her voice trembling as she pointed shakily towards Fiona. "Did... did Jackson just kiss Fiona?"
